     The Director of Operations will collaborate with the executive team to devise and implement comprehensive strategies aimed at enhancing productivity and achieving sustained success in operations, distribution, customer/consumer service, and logistics practices.  We are looking for someone who has demonstrated experience managing an operational environment, which includes working with distribution centers, warehouses, customer service and/or 3PLs.

     The following describes some of the core activities you will be expected to perform:

    • Formulate performance objectives and enduring operational strategies for all facets of operations and logistics, encompassing both domestic and international operations as well as company-owned and third-party logistics providers (3PLs).
    • Enhance efficiency and productivity by conducting thorough process analysis and fostering collaboration across departments.
    • Establish strategic objectives to enhance operational efficiency and boost productivity.
    • Collaborate with project managers to formulate financial and budgetary plans.
    • Evaluate current operational processes and performance, suggesting improvements as needed.
    • Cultivate and sustain relationships with department heads, external partners, and vendors to make decisions regarding operational activities and strategic objectives.
    • Plan, monitor, and analyze key metrics for day-to-day operations, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and on time.
    • Develop strategies for enterprise-wide program growth, implementing process improvements to optimize output and minimize costs.
    • Oversee distribution, consumer and customer service, and logistics to deliver high levels of customer satisfaction.
    • Negotiate inbound and outbound transportation agreements (parcel, LTL, TL, rail, air, and sea) and manage relationships with existing suppliers while fostering new ones.
    • Other tasks and duties as assigned by Sr. VP of Operations.
    • A bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Business, Engineering, or equivalent is required.
    • 5 years of experience in a high-level multifaceted operational role.
    • Proven ability to plan and manage operational processes and budgets for maximum efficiency and productivity.
    • Ability to streamline and implement new structures and roles that create speed, efficiency, and support rapidly shifting business demands.
    • Superior negotiation skills in both internal and external settings.
    • Strong working knowledge of data analysis and performance metrics using business management software (e.g., ERP, CRM, WMS systems).
    • Ability to recruit, select/identify, train, and supervise at all levels.
    • Perform well within a deadline-driven, results-oriented environment.
    • Must be highly organized, detail-oriented and a demonstrated problem solver.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong follow-through and teamwork skills
    • Ability to travel to DCs as needed both nationally and internationally.
    • Prior experience managing a 3PL that distributes for Amazon, would be highly beneficial, but not required.
    • Ideally will have prior working experience in a CPG or manufacturing environment.
