    The Sr. Director of Payments Operations at Weave will play a pivotal role in driving the transformation of our Payments product into a core component of our overall business strategy. 

    This hands-on leadership role is instrumental in leading the evolution of our payments offering to dominate healthcare payments, delivering unparalleled customer experiences, and scaling operations to facilitate the company’s revenue growth strategy. 

    The  ideal candidate  is a results oriented operations leader with deep experience in both the SaaS / Payments business model with a specific focus on SMB’s. Experience working with DSO’s in the Healthcare vertical is a plus as well as a background that includes working for a vertically integrated software company. In this role, you will drive  the tuning and optimization of our internal processes, managing merchant risk & fraud, and increasing  payment adoption through integrated workflow solutions in partnership with our payments partners. You will partner with the GM of Payments to uncover opportunities to deepen our penetration rates, increase payment volumes, and optimize our net yield. You will identify new features and payment workflows that will reduce transaction friction, improve our risk profile, and stay on the leading edge of compliance standards in healthcare-based payments.  

    • Ideally we'd like this candidate to be located near the Lehi, UT headquarters or open to relocation
    • This position will report to the General Manager of Payments

    What you will own:

    Payment Partnerships, Risk & Operations:

      • Help develop the payment acceptance strategy and own the execution of that strategy to deliver the overall business objectives.
      • Direct and design the evolution of our payments platform, in conjunction with the Product team, to drive greater penetration and increased adoption of Weave’s payment product.
      • Own and maintain strong relationships with payment partners to deliver a platform that achieves our payment strategy and business objectives while holding them accountable for their commitments.
      • Establish and use reporting on operational metrics to ensure the product is operating effectively, and analyze payment data to take proactive measures to d prevent merchant fraud.  
      • Enhance the onboarding and underwriting process, increase utilization, and manage risk.
      • Oversee payment operations, including transaction processing, reconciliation, and fraud prevention, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance.
      • Monitor industry trends, regulations, and emerging technologies to identify opportunities for process improvement and innovation.  
      • Identify new risk and fraud tools as they come to market.   
      • Partner with our legal & compliance organization to implement and maintain robust risk management practices to mitigate fraud, chargebacks, and other payment-related risks
      • Collaborate with the Product team to identify workflows or user experiences that improve our value proposition and drive payment product adoption and usage.
      • Partner with the GM of Payments to help improve the success of our go-to-market efforts.


    Leadership and Cross-functional Collaboration:

      • Lead and mentor a team of payment professionals, fostering a culture of high performance, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
      • Set clear objectives, provide regular feedback, and promote professional growth for team members.
      • Act as an internal champion for the Payments product and educate the entire company on the risk and compliance elements of our payments business.
      • Collaborate with cross-functional teams ensure alignment with company goals and the nuances of the payments business, processes, and strategy.
      • Influence decision-making processes and provide strategic insights to drive product development and market positioning.

    What You Will Need to Accomplish the Job:

    • Strong understanding of payment operations, risk management, program design, and demonstrated success in leading teams to achieve business objectives.
    • Demonstrated experience working with various payment pricing models and commercial structures (e.g. flat rate, IC )
    • Experience opening up international markets for payment adoption is a plus
    • Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional teams and drive alignment towards common goals.
    • Strategic thinker with the ability to define processes and design customer-centric experiences that differentiate the Payments product offering.
    • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
