Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Banquet Captain to join our team. We are an established catering company with both corporate and private clients. As a Banquet Captain, you will be responsible for overseeing banquet events and ensuring the smooth execution of all aspects of the banquet service. This is a leadership role that requires excellent organizational skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to effectively manage a team.

Responsibilities:
- Manage and coordinate all banquet events from setup to breakdown
- Supervise and train banquet staff, including servers, bartenders, and support staff
- Ensure that all banquet service standards are met or exceeded
- Oversee food and beverage service, ensuring timely delivery and presentation
- Assist with event planning and coordination, including menu selection and event setup
- Maintain inventory of banquet supplies and equipment
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues or complaints promptly
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless coordination of events
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations

Skills:
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of food service management, including food preparation, presentation, and service techniques
- Experience in cash handling and managing financial transactions
- Proficient in shift management, ensuring smooth transitions between events
- Knowledge of coffee preparation techniques is preferred
- Familiarity with bartending techniques is a plus
- Ability to conduct interviews and assist with hiring process
