SUMMARY: Under the direction of the Banquet Chef and/or Banquet Manager, performs the prompt and proper service of meals.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

Must be available all shifts and weekends are a must.

• To be able to help with set up of tables, chairs, bar area including table clothes, silverware and glasses.
• Ensures all food products are of the highest quality and consistently prepared and served according to restaurant’s recipe, portion, cooking and serving requirements.
• Directs customers to tables, assists in seating and distributes menus.
• Serve drinks.
• Describes and explains the products on the menu along with daily specials.
• Observe customers to respond to additional requests to determine when meal has been completed. May assist in the clearing of used dishes and items.
• May ladle soup, toss salads, portion pies and desserts, brew coffee and perform other services as determined by the Banquet Supervisor.
• May wash dishes if needed.
• Attends all scheduled employee meetings and brings suggestions for improvement.
• Promptly reports equipment and food quality problems to Supervisor.
• Informs Supervisor immediately of product shortages.
• Helps to keep restaurant service area clean and tidy.
• Cooperates with other staff of the department to ensure high quality of service.
• Maintains a high standard of personal and professional hygiene.
• Be accountable for and fully utilize EDGE, our guest experience program with each guest interaction.
