    POSITION PURPOSE: Transport and clean cooking utensils and service-ware in order to provide cooks, bus-persons and food servers with appropriate equipment for guests' dining experience. Also requires cleaning of physical surroundings. 


    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 

    • Responsible for organization and cleanliness of food storage areas and walk-in coolers 
    • Perform other duties as requests, such as moving supplies and equipment, putting away product deliveries, recycling cardboard and dispensing of trash, etc. 
    • Maintain a clean and safe workplace as determined by industry and resort standards.
    • Sort soiled dishes and flatware so that it can be put through dish machine properly. 
    • Wash all ware and replace in storage areas as designated. Physical strength and stamina are essential to this position. 
    • Keep dish machine properly cleaned. 
    • Clean kettles, tilt skillets, pots and pans promptly and completely so cooks can carry out their work. 
    • Clean and dry floors to avoid slip and fall accidents. 
    • Perform other general and routing cleaning tasks as assigned to adhere to health standards. 
    • Demonstrates effective communication skills, both verbal and written, when applicable. Makes sure that communications are clear, concise, complete and accurate.
    • Displays behavior that enhances the image of the resort as evidenced by professional and courteous behavior towards all customers including co-workers. 
    • Fosters a sense of teamwork and collaboration within the department and property by demonstrating respect for others judgement and capabilities and gives praise/recognition to those who earn it. 
    • Willingly accepts suggestions for improvement and takes the instructions with a positive and optimistic attitude and strives to correct the situation and provides constructive input to foster process improvement within the department.

    QUALIFICATIONS: 


    · High School Diploma or GED Certificate preferred 

    · Ability to read and comprehend written instructions 

    · Able to handle multiple priorities and tasks at once in a fast paced environment 

    · Excellent organizational, verbal, interpersonal, and customer relations skills 

    · 18 years of age 

    · Basic computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook required 

    · Must have an excellent guest service approach in dealing with customer/guest 

    · Current Food Handlers Certificate or ServSafe Certificate required 

    · Must be able to obtain a Class I Gaming License 

    · All employees must maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance (specific standards available)
