As the first point of contact for our guests, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional hospitality and ensuring a positive dining experience. Duties:
- Greet guests with a warm and welcoming demeanor
- Seat guests and provide them with menus
- Assist in answering phone calls and taking reservations
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host/host station
- Coordinate with servers to ensure efficient seating and table turnover
- Provide accurate wait times and manage guest expectations
- Assist in managing the flow of guests during peak hours
- Handle guest inquiries and resolve any issues or complaints
- Collaborate with the kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of food orders
- Follow proper cash handling procedures when processing payments

Skills:

- Open Table experience preferred
- Strong hospitality skills with a genuine desire to provide excellent guest service
- Previous experience in a similar role or customer service position is preferred
- Knowledge of POS systems and basic phone etiquette
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail and ability to handle stressful situations calmly
- Familiarity with hotel or restaurant operations is a plus
