    JOB SUMMARY:

    We are seeking a skilled and highly organized Banquet Manager to join our team. As the Banquet Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the planning, coordination, and execution of banquet events. You will work closely with clients, event planners, and internal staff to ensure exceptional service and a memorable experience for all guests. This role requires strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.


    ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Plan and coordinate all aspects of banquet events, including meetings, conferences, weddings, and other special occasions.
    • Collaborate with clients and event planners to understand their requirements, preferences, and budgetary constraints.
    • Create detailed event proposals, including menu selection, room setup, audiovisual requirements, and any other necessary arrangements.
    • Manage banquet staff, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance management.
    • Ensure the efficient execution of events, including timely setup, food and beverage service, and breakdown.
    • Maintain excellent customer relationships by providing exceptional service, promptly addressing any concerns or issues that arise during events.
    • Collaborate with the culinary team to develop menus and ensure high-quality food and beverage offerings.
    • Manage banquet budgets, control costs, and maximize revenue opportunities through effective planning and upselling.
    • Conduct regular inspections of event spaces, equipment, and inventory to maintain cleanliness, safety, and functionality.
    • Stay updated on industry trends and innovations to enhance the banquet experience and maintain a competitive edge.


    REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

    • Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management, Event Planning, or a related field preferred. 
    • Proven experience as a Banquet Manager or in a similar role within the hospitality industry.
    • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
    • Strong leadership abilities and the capacity to motivate and inspire a diverse team.
    • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
    • Knowledge of banquet operations, including event planning, setup, food and beverage service, and audiovisual requirements.
    • Proficiency in event management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
    • Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by event schedules.
    • Understanding of health and safety regulations and the ability to enforce them effectively.
    • Flexibility and adaptability to work in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
