Banquet Manager plans, directs and coordinates banquets held within the establishment. Negotiates contracts, assists in the selection of menu items, schedules banquet staff, arranges for facilities or equipment, and communicates customer needs to the appropriate personnel. Being a Banquet Manager develops and maintains banquet accounts by ensuring customer satisfaction before, during, and after the event. May require a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Banquet Manager typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Banquet Manager supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Candidates must have flexible availability evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Job Summary:
Ensure that any and all clients’ needs are fulfilled for all functions. This encompasses all things we do in banquet operations
Essential Functions:
Understanding how to read and apply the information given on a BEO.
Responsible for the cleanliness and organization of the entire convention center. This includes Restrooms, the Service Hallway, Concessions area(s), and all event rooms.
Making sure that all breakdown, clean up and reset is completed in all rooms.
Servicing tables, clearing tables, refilling drinks and running trays.
Caring for restrooms, breaking down, setting up, concessions, dinners, buffets, bartending, and general cleaning are just a few of the many tasks that you must be able to complete in an efficient and timely manner.
Putting away of product delivered to the conference center in a timely manner, and securing such products. These are items such as liquor, beer, wine, soda, bottled water, tea, linens and anything else that may be delivered.

1. Must be able to lift, push, pull and carry a weight of up to 50lbs
