The AC Hotel by Marriott Pittsburgh/Southpointe is currently seeking a skilled, energetic and self-motivated Banquet Manager to join their team.

State of the art Conference Facility in Southpointe is seeking a Banquet Manager who is organized and passionate about planning corporate and social events. The overall responsibility of the Banquet Manager would be performing and working closely with the Event Sales Manager in attracting, securing, planning and facilitating events, such as corporate events and social events. The Banquet Manager would also be a responsible for overseeing Banquet events at the AC Hotel.

The ideal candidate is a highly motivated individual with the ability to lead and nurture long term relationships while attracting, securing and overseeing private events for the Conference Center. Specific skills, abilities and qualifications of the Banquet Manager include:

• Working at a high-level of attention to detail and organization
• Communicating effectively
• Effectively partnering with all departments in the planning and execution of events
• Attending functions to meet hosts and ensure everything is as expected and adjust as needed
• Maintaining and updating accurate files and billing
• Budget development and management to increase event sales
• Assist the client to develop a menu, floorplan, timeline
• Assist with setting event rooms, breaking down event rooms and ability to be familiar with Audio Visual equipment
• Oversee all events
• Having a proficiency in Microsoft office and event software

This individual must be committed to excellence, be an exceptional communicator, creative and well organized with an attention to detail and able to be successful in working with the Food & Beverage Service.

You must have a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holiday as business dictates. Must be able to stand on feet for hours and lift up to 50 pounds.

This is a salaried, full-time position.
