Being a Banquet Manager develops and maintains banquet accounts by ensuring customer satisfaction before, during, and after the event. May require a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Banquet Manager typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Banquet Manager supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. Thorough knowledge of department processes. To be a Banquet Manager typically requires 3-5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. State of the art Conference Facility in Southpointe is seeking a Banquet Manager who is organized and passionate about planning corporate and social events. The overall responsibility of the Banquet Manager would be performing and working closely with the Event Sales Manager in attracting, securing, planning and facilitating events, such as corporate events and social events. The Banquet Manager would also be a responsible for overseeing Banquet events at the AC Hotel.
The ideal candidate is a highly motivated individual with the ability to lead and nurture long term relationships while attracting, securing and overseeing private events for the Conference Center. Specific skills, abilities and qualifications of the Banquet Manager include:
This individual must be committed to excellence, be an exceptional communicator, creative and well organized with an attention to detail and able to be successful in working with the Food & Beverage Service.
You must have a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holiday as business dictates. Must be able to stand on feet for hours and lift up to 50 pounds.
This is a salaried, full-time position.
