Banquet Manager jobs in Sacramento, CA
Banquet Manager plans, directs and coordinates banquets held within the establishment. Negotiates contracts, assists in the selection of menu items, schedules banquet staff, arranges for facilities or equipment, and communicates customer needs to the appropriate personnel. Being a Banquet Manager develops and maintains banquet accounts by ensuring customer satisfaction before, during, and after the event. May require a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Banquet Manager typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Banquet Manager supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. Thorough knowledge of department processes. To be a Banquet Manager typically requires 3-5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Server to join our team! The Server is the face of our banquet's and plays an integral role in our customer’s dining experience.
You will build rapport with customers, answer questions about the menu, serve food and drinks. The ideal candidate is friendly, outgoing, and has fantastic attention to detail.
Salary is hourly plus shared tips from the event.
Responsibilities :
- adhere to all health and safety rules and regulations
- Serve customers food in an efficient manner.
- Refill drinks.
- Answer questions about the food menu and preparation
- Wipe down tables, chairs and other surfaces.
- Remove tablecloths and reset tables
- Remove dirty dishes, glasses and silverware from tables.
- Check with customers periodically during their meals to ensure they are satisfied
Qualifications :
- Previous experience as a server is preferred
- Friendly and outgoing personality
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the position, including standing for long periods and carrying trays
- Familiarity with food safety guidelines
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
