Job Duties:
- Assist in the coordination and supervises events based on client specifications detailed in the Banquet Event Order
- Supervise and direct staff before, during and after each event.
- Coordinates food service between kitchen and service staff.
- Inspects all service ware, linen, etc. for proper placement and appearance.
- May assist Events team and review table diagrams, guest seating arrangements and set up needs.
- Conducts pre-shift meeting with all banquet staff to ensure proper, efficient service and to assign server responsibilities per BEO specifications.
- Ensures all staff are well groomed and in proper uniform per BHYC standards.
- Assures neatness and cleanliness of all banquet areas.
- Enforces established club rules, regulations and policies.
- Analyze situations requiring solutions and acts accordingly.
- Oversees set up, breakdown and clean-up activities of each event including the preparation for the next event.
- Reports to Event and Food & Beverage managers with member issues and completes any other assigned tasks.
- Effectively and regularly communicates expectations and service goals to staff.
- Assists with inventory of all banquet service ware, equipment and supplies to meet required needs.
- Prepares and reviews table diagrams, guest tables and set-up needs for special functions.
- May serve “VIP” guests.
- Completes an after-event “Banquet Service Catering Report” to improve quality and efficiency of banquet functions.
- Ensures that all appropriate charges are billed correctly to each event and forwarded to the Accounting Department.
- Attends Sheets meetings and confers with management to identify, plan and develop methods and procedures to obtain greater efficiency.
- Assures that state and local laws and the club’s policies and procedures for the service of alcoholic beverages are followed.
- Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- 1-2 years prior experience in Food and Beverage/Banquets field or related areas required
- SERV Safe and Alcohol Beverage Certification required
- High School Diploma preferred
- Must have the ability to lift up to 40 lbs. as required
