JOB OVERVIEWWe are looking for an energetic and dedicated Banquet Server to join our growing staff. As a Banquet Server you play an important role in the overall success of events. You will be in charge of ensuring that all guests have a favorable event experience. You will report directly to the Director of Banquets and Banquet Captains.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS- Assist with the complete setup and breakdown of the banquet area. This includes but is not limited to table setup, buffet setup, chair setup, décor, and more.
- Setting up all N/A beverage stations for the event
- Taking out trash throughout the event
- Restocking plates and silverware as needed
- Being knowledgeable on the event menu items
- Reading through the timeline of the BEO and being prepared for what is going to happen next
- Directing guests where to go for each event
- Relay food and beverage orders to Banquet Chef
- Delivery of food to each guest in a timely manner. This includes carrying large trays of food.
- Clearing empty plates, glasses and silverware from tables as guests are finished
- Maintain a high level of cleanliness and awareness of sanitary practices.
- Anticipate guests’ needs and exceed customer service expectations.
- Maintain composure in a fast-paced environment.
- Relay important information about orders, allergies and special requests to the appropriate person.
- Respond urgently and appropriately to any concerns.
- Present in professional appearance and mannerisms.
- Organizing and cleaning the event space before and after the event
- Knowing where to find all supplies needed for events
- Assist with post event cleanup, inventory, food storage and tear down
SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:- High School diploma or equivalent preferred
- At least 18 years old
- Previous banquet server/ waiter experience a plus
- Excellent customer service skills
- Must be able to stand and walk for several hours at a time and lift up to 30 pounds
- Reliable transportation
- Knowledge of Point of Sales Systems
