Job Title: Banquet Set-up Attendant

Location: Cherry Hill, NJ

Pay rate: $16/hour

Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a dedicated Banquet Set-up Attendants to join our team. The ideal candidates will be responsible for ensuring the seamless setup, maintenance, and refreshing of banquet meeting rooms. From attending pre-shift meetings to assisting in setting up/breaking down buffet stations, this role requires attention to detail and a commitment to guest satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

• Attend pre-shift meetings to review banquet event orders (BEOs) and plan setup strategies.
• Collaborate with banquet servers to ensure all guest needs are met promptly and efficiently.
• Replenish water and other beverages as needed throughout events.
• Empty trash and clear dirty plates, cups, linens, and glasses during events.
• Replace items such as utensils and condiments to maintain a well-stocked environment.
• Set tables in assigned areas correctly and uniformly, adhering to event specifications.
• Greet guests warmly and respond to their requests promptly and courteously.
• Utilize proper in-room clearing techniques and handle tray breakdowns with care.
• Assist in the setup and breakdown of buffet stations and other special food service areas.
• Straighten chairs and ensure seating arrangements are orderly and presentable.
• Change soiled table linens and replenish materials such as pads and pens as needed.

Requirements:

• Availability to work weekends and flexible shifts as required by event schedules.
• Proficiency in English; bilingual abilities are a plus.
• Previous experience in banquet setup or a related hospitality role preferred.
• Strong communication skills and a customer-centric approach to service.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and presentation.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $16.00 per hour
