The University of Notre Dame Enterprises and Events (UEE) division is currently hiring for a
Banquet Set Up position at
The Morris Inn. The UEE division leads the University's event management, hospitality, and customer service functions while supporting student life, academic endeavors, and research initiatives.
Why this position?
The responsibility of the Banquet Set Up position is to set, maintain and refresh all banquet meeting rooms, dining rooms, and other spaces as needed in the Morris Inn Hotel and NDCC according to the specifications of the Banquet Event Order form and company standards. The Banquet Set Up Associate must ensure that all banquet and meeting rooms are properly set up and tore down in a safe and timely manner.

This position is with University Enterprises and Events at the University of Notre Dame and is eligible for a $1,000 sign-on bonus (1/2 paid after 90 and 180 days of continuous employment). Candidates are only eligible if they are a new employee to the University - current Notre Dame employees who transfer are not eligible. Other rules and conditions apply.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED
- 6-12 months of experience
- Attention to details.
- Ability to stand for long periods of time without sitting or leaning. Effectively serve both guests and fellow employees following Four Diamond service expectations.
- Follow work direction and perform tasks efficiently, accurately, and on a timely basis.
- Preserve the confidentiality and security of Guest information and belongings.
- Work as part of a team as well as work alone with limited direct supervision.
- Speak, read, write and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace and communicate effectively.
- Engage in friendly, polite conversation.
- Exercise good judgment and solve problems.
- Maintain emotional control and persevere in stressful situations.
- Maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance to standards.
- Varying schedule to include evenings, weekends, holidays and extended hours as business dictates.
Conditions in this position may be indoor or outdoor settings, depending on banquet location -varied weather conditions are expected working in this position
