Florida Barber Academy is looking for an experienced instructor. Must be a licensed Barber. We are looking for a motivated employee that can instruct students effectively, assuring that the institution achieves its educational goals, objectives and continuing purpose.

Skills/Competencies/Duties Required:

• Must be bilingual preferred (Spanish & English) and be able to read, write, and speak both languages.
• Must have field experience for at least 2 years (within the last 5 years) in the area applying to teach in. Must have experieince teaching as traditional and Hybrid method.
• Must be a licensed Barber.
• Be enthusiastic, passionate, and professional at all times with students, guests, clients, and peers.
• Support the school’s vision, mission and educational objectives.
• Comply with all required rules and regulations of the school.
• Teach and follow the school’s published curriculum, using all teaching aids and handouts provided.
• Help students fulfill their maximum potential in mastering course content.
• Maintain standards of professional conduct and ethics appropriate to the professional position and school.
• Provide grades, evaluation, and student feedback in a timely manner.
• Employ appropriate classroom & shop/spa management strategies to keep students motivated, engaged and on task.
• Be able to coach in the moment, encourage creativity, and be patient with the students.
• Have a deep love to teach and encourage others to learn and be the next great generation of beauty experts.
• Be able to give and accept constructive criticism.
• Actively participate in training and development to ensure competency with the curriculum and trends to deliver it to the students in a positive and exciting way.
• Participate in special events such as Graduation, school/classroom competitions, Career Fairs, student recognition ceremonies, etc.
• Maintain proper sanitary procedures and standards in the classroom at all times.
• Be flexible and have the ability to teach a diverse group of students.
• Have some basic computer skills.
• Other duties as assigned.
