Responsibilities

• Prepare alcohol or non-alcohol beverages for bar and restaurant patrons
• Interact with customers, take orders and serve snacks and drinks
• Assess customers’ needs and preferences and make recommendations
• Mix ingredients to prepare cocktails
• Plan and present bar menu
• Check customers’ identification and confirm it meets legal drinking age
• Restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies
• Stay guest focused and nurture an excellent guest experience
• Comply with all food and beverage regulations
• Serving Food
• Responsible for beverage control, accurate pouring of product, general cleanliness of bar, and providing a quality of service that meets guest expectations.
• Candidate must have flexible schedules to work during the week and/or weekends, both opening and closing shifts.
• Candidate must be able to make a wide range of cocktails and have knowledge of craft beer and wine.
• TABC and food handlers certification required.

Skills

• Resume and proven working experience as a bartender
• Excellent knowledge of in mixing, garnishing and serving drinks
• Computer literacy
• Knowledge of a second language is a plus
• Positive attitude and excellent communication skills
• Ability to keep the bar/restaurant organized, stocked and clean'

Day to Day:

• Prepare set-up appropriately at start of shift (i.e., put bottles out, set up garnish tray, check and stock juices, stock glassware, fill ice bin).
• Consistently check bar area for cleanliness and ensure that all necessary items are in place.
• Ensure that all liquor items are stocked and ready to use. Responsible for liquor control and accurate pouring of product.
• Possess clear knowledge of all various liquors, beer, and wines available.
• Maintain comprehensive knowledge of the menu, including daily specials, and specialized menus that may not be available directly on the menu.
• Accurately execute members/guest orders and requests in a timely fashion.
• Ensure daily assignments and side work is complete in respective areas to meet hotel and restaurant standards (i.e., orderly/organized work areas, consistently sanitize work areas, refill/stock containers and supplies, etc.).
• Notify management of members/guest complaints at the time they occur. Practice good service recovery by rectifying any complaints as soon as possible.
• Complete additional duties as assigned periodically by the Kitchen Manager, Restaurant Manager, Director, etc.
