Bartender
Neptune’s Bar Program is centered around the classic “Trader-Vic” style of the tiki world. The program is a melting pot of older and newer recipes with an emphasis on “Craft Beer, Craft Cocktails”. We were born from Neptunes Brewery and want to be able to showcase the beers our community knows and loves with also providing a fun, unique bar atmosphere that most Montanans and visitors don’t expect. As a rule of thumb, we make as much as we can with fresh, whole ingredients from scratch with the addition of high-quality, imported spirits, wine and sake.
A Bartender should be able to multitask in a fast paced environment, have an exceptionally good eye for detail and be able to follow written house recipes. You will be expected to have a basic understanding of classic cocktail recipes as well as a fair amount of standard bar knowledge. As our bar can be quite fast paced, our bartenders need to focus on being on the floor. Because of this, we typically will have an employee on duty that strictly takes care of the bar prep to ensure that the bartenders have all the items they need for service. On occasion, bartenders are required to complete their own prep list. Bartenders are expected be able to function solo with bar stool guests as well as the service wheel for the dining room.
*Written recipes (as well as scheduling) are kept on an online app that allows constant access, having a smart phone is not required but encouraged.
