Role Description
A bartender at The Outsider is chiefly responsible for preparing drink orders safely, proficiently, and expeditiously.
Bartender responsibilities
- Following best practices as established by the General Manager, including those regarding drink recipes, presentation, and alcohol handling best practices..
- Practicing good personal hygiene, including showering before work and washing hands routinely throughout the day.
- Working as a team and communicating effectively with other areas of the operation.
- Avoiding over serving guests, and monitoring intoxicated guests for unruly behavior.
- Logging temperatures behind the bar, and reporting any hazardous readings to management.
- Cleaning and monitoring all bar equipment for proper performance.
- Adhering to recipe standards to deliver an excellent high performing drink menu.
- Adhering to the established labeling and dating practices for pre-made drinks prepared in-house.
- Properly handling alcohol, and keeping the bar area clean.
- Being receptive to training opportunities and the development of bartending skills.
- Collaborating with management on drink ideas, and bar best practices.
