Battery Assembler assembles, bolts, and fastens battery parts with the use of hands, tweezers, or tongs. Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent and 0-2 years of experience. Being a Battery Assembler has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Additionally, Battery Assembler works under immediate supervision. The Battery Technician, will be responsible for maintaining and exchanging inventory of batteries and chargers for fleet of material handling equipment, and for operating a battery test, recording system to monitor and test 24, 36, and 48 volt batteries; including adjusting the specific gravity of each cell prior to testing. Maintain tools, parts, and inventory in service van to provide the necessary repair/service to customer. This position will also maintain Malin’s battery charging system. Will represent Malin and requires professionalism, great attitude, good communication skills and outstanding customer service.
