Salary: $24.00 - $26.00 per hour

About the Role

Drill, wire and assemble control panels per job requirements.  Assembled panels are then taken to the Test Dept. where mechanical assembly is checked, and electrical tests are performed to check wiring.

Responsibilities

• Electrical and mechanical assembly of control panels per job specifications.
• Drilling of panels per specifications.
• Wiring of panels per specifications.
• Follow established company and departmental precautions and procedures in the performance of all job duties to ensure a safe work environment for self and others.
• Participate as a team member by performing additional assignments to meet organizational goals as noted and observed by supervisor and coworkers.
• Demonstrate respect and regard for customers and coworkers to ensure a professional, responsive, and courteous environment
• Execute additional tasks as needed

Experience

• High school diploma or general education degree
• One to three months related experience and/or training
• Equivalent combination of education and experience

Skills

• Ability to deal with problems involving concrete variables in standardized situations
• Ability to add, subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s
• Detail oriented and organized
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Team player with a positive attitude
• Ability to multi-task/prioritize workload
• Great people skills and a sense of humor

Physical Demands

Position requires approximately 20% sitting, 40% walking and 40% standing.  The ability to use hands to finger, handle or feel and to reach  with hands and arms on a continual basis is required.  The position requires the ability to climb or balance as well as stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl on an occasional basis.  Also, the position requires the ability to express or exchange ideas by means of spoken words.  Position has no special vision requirements.  The ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a frequent basis is required.  Jobholder is exposed to fumes or airborne particles and the risk of electrical shock on an occasional basis.  Position is exposed to loud noise (e.g., metal can manufacturing department, large earth-moving equipment).
