Protea Behavioral Health Counseling is a substance use disorder in an innovative recovery ecosystem focused on reducing barriers in substance use disorders, housing, and employment. Caseworkers provide social services to clients. Their goal is to improve financial, social, and psychological functioning. They work with clients to connect them with the proper government resources and services. In a clinical setting, they may address mental health or substance abuse problems.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

• Filing and maintaining case history reports.
• Interviewing clients to assess their situational needs.
• Determining which services and assistance that is necessary.
• Serving as a liaison between the client and social, financial, health and legal services.
• Developing a plan of action to improve the client’s well-being.
• Planning and modifying plans as circumstances change for the individual.

Qualifications

• Active listening to better understand the needs of their client so they can create a plan of action.
• Social context to understand the challenges and opportunities clients face.
• Written and verbal communication to interface with government organizations.
• Critical thinking and decision-making to plan the best course of action for their clients.
• Problem solving to improve the well-being of their clients through advocacy.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $750.00 per week
