Behavioral Health Director oversees the study and treatment of patients with emotional, mental, or psychological disorders. Develops, implements, and updates strategic initiatives, programs, and services. Being a Behavioral Health Director manages and directs the operations of behavioral health services. Uses knowledge of behavioral health research and trends to ensure the department's practices are up-to-date and effective. Additionally, Behavioral Health Director establishes training programs and supports and supervises staff. Ensures all behavioral health operations comply with clinical guidelines and regulations. Requires an advanced degree in psychology or related field. Typically reports to top management. The Behavioral Health Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. To be a Behavioral Health Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function.     Responsibilities

    Behavioral Health is looking for Full Time Charge Nurse to join the team!

     

    The Charge Nurse Demonstrates ability to organize personnel assignments and activities for others for the overall benefit of the unit. Working knowledge of clinical skills in delivery of patient care. Demonstrates proficiency in unit and the ability to function efficiently during crisis.

      

    What You'll Do:

    • Accountable for all Registered Nurse duties and responsibilities as well as the following duties and responsibilities.
    • Demonstrates knowledge of unit standards of care, staff competencies, and individual patient care needs in facilitation proper patient placement and patient care assignments.
    • Collaborates with multidisciplinary teams, including care coordination, physicians, and management, using and promoting effective communication strategies to meet inter-and intra-departmental needs.
    • Actively role models and coaches the behaviors associated with leadership and assist others in developing their skills and knowledge.

    Qualifications

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    Education: Nursing degree from an approved school of nursing; BSN preferred.  

    Licensure: Licensed to practice registered nursing in the state of ND or in a compact state. 

    Experience: At least two (2) years clinical experience within specialty area preferred.
