Behavioral Health Director oversees the study and treatment of patients with emotional, mental, or psychological disorders. Develops, implements, and updates strategic initiatives, programs, and services. Being a Behavioral Health Director manages and directs the operations of behavioral health services. Uses knowledge of behavioral health research and trends to ensure the department's practices are up-to-date and effective. Additionally, Behavioral Health Director establishes training programs and supports and supervises staff. Ensures all behavioral health operations comply with clinical guidelines and regulations. Requires an advanced degree in psychology or related field. Typically reports to top management. The Behavioral Health Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. To be a Behavioral Health Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function.     Join our Behavioral Health team as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), utilizing a team-based approach to patient care in a fun and supportive work environment.

    Our work environment embraces diversity, has creative problem solving, and will help you grow as a person in the nursing field. New grads are welcome!

    Varied 12-hour day or night shifts and every third weekend in a block schedule, with opportunities to pick up additional shifts based on scheduling needs. Differentials and premiums apply for nights, weekends, and call pay.

    Job Summary

    Administers nursing care under the supervision of a registered nurse. Participates in the implementation and evaluation of patient care. Ensures the health, comfort and safety of patients. Maintains certification as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). Documents a thorough medical history from patient and performs or helps perform a physical exam to determine patient's needs.

    Discusses information collected from patient with registered nurse and administers medication or treatment as ordered. Consults with physician if necessary.

    Maintains stock of medical tools needed for registered nurse or physician. May transport and prepare patients for examinations. Counsels patients and family members on prevention and treatment plan for health issues under direction of registered nurse.

    Qualifications

    Must have graduated from an accredited school or college of nursing program leading to licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse. Associate's degree in practical nursing is preferred. Specific services/positions may have additional education, training or experience requirements.

    Requires current licensure as a practical nurse in the state/states of practice.
