Develops, implements, and updates strategic initiatives, programs, and services. Being a Behavioral Health Director manages and directs the operations of behavioral health services. Uses knowledge of behavioral health research and trends to ensure the department's practices are up-to-date and effective. Additionally, Behavioral Health Director establishes training programs and supports and supervises staff. Ensures all behavioral health operations comply with clinical guidelines and regulations. Requires an advanced degree in psychology or related field. Typically reports to top management. We are seeking a Licensed Clinical Psychologist to join our team at Northwest Florida Reception Center located in Chipley, Florida (35 miles north of Panama City) to be the Psychological Services Director.
The Psychological Services Director (PSD) provides psychological leadership, consultation and direct services within a correctional setting. The PSD will lead a multidisciplinary team in providing assessment and treatment of mental and emotional disorders of incarcerated patients. The PSD will coordinate and oversee behavioral health services to mental health team within the assigned correctional facility.
