Benefits Analyst jobs in Huntsville, AL

Torch Technologies, a 100% employee-owned company is currently seeking to fill the position of a Benefits Analyst II. This position will perform a wide variety of professional level human resources activities that service all areas of the organization and participant levels.

Typical daily tasks include

• Provide customer service to internal and external customers with respect to employee inquiries and data requests. Research and resolve benefit inquiries accurately and timely, providing superior customer service and solutions as needed

• Prepare and communicate benefit enrollment data to carriers; pull reporting from Deltek CostPoint as needed
• Responsible for weekly benefit payroll changes and balancing prior to processing, working closely with payroll administrator/accounting.
• Responsible for monthly billing reconciliation with carriers and vendors.
• Manage the coordination and administration of corporate wellness activities (flu shots, health risk assessments, etc.)
• Responsible for processing all life events and job status changes
• Oversee Benefit orientation including in-person and virtual presentations
• Assist with annual open enrollment
• Support HR team by assisting with special projects and other duties as assigned

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s in Human Resources or other related field or equivalent experience
• Minimum of 3-5 years of applicable benefits experience

• Proficient in MS Office with emphasis on spreadsheet and data manipulation using MS Excel
• Capable of effective planning and priority setting
• Strong interpersonal, teamwork, collaborative, and communication skills
• Effective verbal and written communication skills

PREFFERED

• Government Contracting and Deltek Costpoint experience a plus
• SHRM or Benefits certification a plus
