    Position Summary

    The Benefits and Wellbeing Department is responsible for crafting and delivering innovative and best-in-class plans and programs that meet current/future employees’/participants’ needs, stay within budget and support the NBA’s business priorities.


    The International Benefits Analyst supports the Director of International Benefits and Mobility Lead in administering benefits for the NBA’s regional offices, analyzes and reports data, performs the administrative process for immigration and relocation cases, documents processes and updates communications.

    Major Responsibilities

    • Benefits
      • Gather census data for health and welfare program renewals, implementation, and invoicing,
      • Update new hire and renewal benefit premium contributions in PeopleSoft and My Total Wellbeing.
      • Invoicing: Prepare quarterly cost allocations for benefits paid in the US and charged to the regional offices and build monthly Business Travel Accident report for invoicing.
      • Collect and maintain ongoing travel data from the Events and Security team for all Global Games, Teams travel, and other NBA events for the Medical Benefits Abroad program.
      • Prepare quarterly Pension Plan Assets report for all international offices.
      • Conduct quarterly audits for new hire enrollments and termination process.
    • Communication & Technology
      • Accurately update and maintain Benefit Highlights, orientation presentations, Home Court pages, and other benefit documents making them available to employees, Human Resources Business Partners (HRBP’s), and Talent Acquisition (TA).
      • Run quarterly Page Analytics reports of Home Court Benefit Pages to understand usage and make recommendations to increase traffic and improve content.
      • Increase engagement with our Slack Channel by posting, promoting events, and collaborating with the international teams.
    • Mobility
      • Assist with the Immigration process including crafting and maintaining Public Access files, benefits files, posting Labor Condition Application notices, coordinating job postings with the TA team, and collecting vital forms for review.
      • Assist with improving tracking of relocation data in PeopleSoft and updating the system with new relocation cases.
      • Manage and maintain accurate employee files for relocation, immigration and tax assistance.
      • Conduct quarterly audits for signed documents.
      • Build monthly reporting for open and active immigration and relocation cases for HRBPs.
      • Assist with the creation and distribution of materials to educate TA, HRBPs, and hiring managers about Mobility Programs (Relocation, Immigration, and Tax).
    • Other
      • Coordinate meetings with vendors and NBA stakeholders, employee webinars, and other multi-employee sessions.
      • Manage and submit expense reports for Head of Benefits and Wellbeing.
      • Other tasks and projects as assigned by the Benefits and Wellbeing leadership team.


    Required Education/Professional Experience

    • Associate's degree or higher needed.
    • Prior administration experience and/or benefits experience required.


    Required Skills/Knowledge Attributes

    • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint Word and Excel. With Excel, must know how to build/use pivot tables, VLOOKUP and conditional formatting; must be comfortable with data analysis, manipulation and visualization.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to effectively prioritize and meet deadlines in fast paced environment.
    • Self starter, results-focused, able to work independently.


    Salary Range:
    $31.25 - $37.25 per hour
