    The Details:

     

    Location: Hybrid work Headquartered in Downtown Seattle, remote work possible from OR, WA.
    Work Schedule: Our typical business hours are 8:30-5:00 PT Monday-Friday.

    Travel Requirements: Up to 10%

    Physical Requirements: Must be able to sit and stand for long periods of the day.

     

     

    About the Position:

    Reporting to the Director of Customer Experience, The Manager of Long-Term Care Policy is responsible for conducting in-depth research, analyzing data and providing valuable insights to inform the development, implementation and evaluation of long-term care policies and programs. This role requires a solid analytical mindset, excellent research skills and the ability to translate complex information into actionable recommendations. The Analyst will work closely with governmental agencies, non-profit organizations and other stakeholders to contribute to the enhancement of long-term care services and policies.

     

     

    You Will:

     

    • Evaluate and interpret new city, state or federal policies and budget provisions to assess their impact on the Benefits Group programs and initiatives.
    • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of Benefits Group and trust operations to effectively analyze policy implications.
    • Spearhead the development of innovative policy initiatives aligned with the goals of the Benefits Group.
    • Oversee the implementation and monitoring of successful policy efforts, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
    • Manage and coordinate legislative and policy strategies to align with strategic goals.
    • Monitor and actively engage in rule-making processes affecting the Benefits Group's budget, training efforts, long-term care workforce development, etc.
    • Conduct in-depth research on existing long-term care policies, regulations and programs across local, state and national levels.
    • Identify areas for improvement in current policies and services, proposing evidence-based solutions.
    • Collaborate with policymakers to contribute to the design, formulation and modification of long-term care policies.
    • Lead the development of policy briefs, reports, and whitepapers to inform evidence-based decision-making.
    • Cultivate and nurture relationships with key stakeholders, including government agencies, advocacy groups, and healthcare providers.
    • Represent the organization at meetings, conferences, and forums to remain abreast of the latest developments in long-term care policies and research.
    • Monitor performance indicators to assess the effectiveness of policy interventions and recommend adjustments as needed.
    • Make recommendations for adjustments and improvements based on evaluation findings.
    • Present policy recommendations to diverse audiences, including policymakers, healthcare professionals, and the general public.
    • Establish and maintain a comprehensive knowledge base of relevant statutes and regulations of WACs and RCWs that are pertinent to the work of the Benefits Group
    • From time-to-time, perform other duties commensurate with the level of this position.

     

    You Will Need to Have:

     

    • A bachelor's degree in public policy, health policy, healthcare administration, economics, related field or equivalent work experience in lieu of education.
    • 5 years of experience in policy development and advocacy.
    • 3 years of experience working within long-term healthcare statutes and regulations.
    • 1 years of experience in research and analytical skills.
    • Experience working within government agency’s rules and regulations (i.e. DSHS, DOH, RCW and WAC).
    • Familiarity with healthcare systems, long-term care services and policy issues.
    • Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel, SPSS, SAS or similar software.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively convey complex information.
    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
    • Understanding of ethical considerations in healthcare research and policy analysis.
    • Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations and policy-making processes.

     

    It Will Be Great if You Have:

     

    • JD, MPH, MPA
    • Staff management experience
    • Working in the non-profit sector or worked with labor organizations.
    • Stakeholder relationship management experience.
    • Experience working in the Long-Term Care ecosystem.

     

    Salary Range:

    • $98,656.33 to $134,458.45

    Benefits:

    • Fully Paid Medical, Dental and Vision.
    • 18 days PTO, 15 Sick days, 10 holidays, 1 floating holiday, 2 personal days and 1 week Winter Break.
