The Analysis Coordinator assembles the medical record using the approved standardized format (HIM policy 07-01) and analyzes the record for the appropriate forms and documentation. Performs duties related to the preparation and filing of emergency records, outpatient records including Pain Clinic records and Short-Stay Unit records, acute inpatient records, observation records, swing-bed records, and Senior Transition records. Other duties include answering the telephone, filing, copying, sorting, distribution of reports, and light typing. Copies medical records for patients who walk in and/or phone requests from physician offices and other health care providers.
Qualifications:
High School graduate or equivalent required.
Computer knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office required. Attention/Accuracy to detail.
Medical terminology course preferred.
