Benefits Director oversees the development, implementation, administration, and maintenance of benefits programs, policies, and procedures. Ensures programs are chosen to be equitable, meet employee needs, comply with legal requirements, and to be cost effective. Being a Benefits Director establishes practices for evaluating existing benefits programs against peer organizations to determine competitiveness, trends and developments. Makes high-level decisions to modify existing benefits programs or institute new ones. Additionally, Benefits Director requires a bachelor's degree. May require Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS). Typically reports to top management. The Benefits Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be a Benefits Director typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments.     Basic Duties:

    · Answers office phone and directs callers to appropriate personnel, signs for incoming packages, and greets and assists clients and other visitors

    · Updates, maintains, and schedules client and other office meetings

    · Maintains physical and digital filing systems, keeping them current for sorting, searching, and reporting of all new and existing business

    · Uses word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software to create and edit letters, reports, and other documents

    · Responds to emails and other digital queries and correspondence

    · Operates and maintains office equipment, including printers, copiers, and fax machines

    · Ensures that deadlines are met and adapts to changing priorities

    · Assists other team members with duties as needed, including servicing existing clients, preparing new business documentation, and assisting with client meeting preparation

    · Other general administrative duties as assigned

    Benefits:

    · Up to 3 weeks (120 hours) of paid time off per year, based on tenure

    · Ability to present a positive and professional image for the organization

    Experience:

    · We are a small office that currently consists of two agents and three other administrative assistants. Experience working well both independently and as part of a team is expected

    · Associate degree or higher preferred

    · Licenses: FINRA Series 6, 7, 63, and/or 65 preferred. Insurance Life and Health preferred. Willingness to obtain licenses if not currently held.

    · Experience in financial industry a plus

    Hours:

    · Full Time, 40 hours per week, Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

    · In office: Spearfish, SD
