Benefits Manager develops, implements, administers, and maintains benefits programs, policies, and procedures. Ensures programs are equitable, meet employee needs, comply with legal requirements, and are cost effective. Being a Benefits Manager develops benefits communications and counsels employees on benefits related issues. Evaluates existing benefits programs against peer organizations to determine competitiveness, trends and developments. Additionally, Benefits Manager requires a bachelor's degree. May require Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS). Typically reports to director. The Benefits Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Benefits Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     The Job

    We are seeking a Benefits Manager with experience with benefits strategy and delivery. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring Own's benefit offerings are competitive and compliant, while maintaining a strong focus on the employee experience.

    Your Day-to-Day Role

    Strategy

    • Conduct regular reviews of existing benefits packages and make recommendations for improvements
    • Stay abreast of industry trends, best practices, and legal requirements to ensure the benefits program remains competitive and compliant
    • Partners with in-country People team members to ensure global benefits programs are competitive and engaging

    Delivery

    • Oversee the day-to-day administration of employee benefits, including health insurance, retirement plans, wellness programs, and other related benefits
    • Collaborate with HRIS and People Operations teams to ensure seamless delivery of benefits and resolve any issues that may arise
    • Manage the annual benefits enrollment process, providing guidance and support to employees

    Communication & Education

    • Develop and implement communication strategies to educate employees about their benefits and foster a clear understanding of available programs
    • Conduct regular training sessions or workshops to enhance employee understanding of benefits offerings
    • Ensure compliance with all relevant federal, state, and local regulations governing employee benefits

    Your Work Experience

    • Bachelor's degree with a preferred focus in Human Resources, Psychology, Business, Finance, or other related degree
    • 4 - 6 years of experience in a benefits-focused role
    • Experience managing global benefits plans in Workday
    • Extensive knowledge of employee benefits and applicable laws
    • Team player with a deep commitment to operational excellence
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

    Important Details

    This is a full-time position. The ideal candidate will work out of our Englewood Cliffs, NJ office a minimum of 3 days per week to maximize collaboration and interaction with the business. Travel may be required.
