Evaluates existing benefits programs against peer organizations to determine competitiveness, trends and developments. Additionally, Benefits Manager requires a bachelor's degree. May require Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS). Typically reports to director. The Benefits Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. The Human Resources (HR) Programs and Services team owns the operations for Prudential’s global total rewards programs, payroll, tax, accounting, and talent acquisition. It also provides data management, application management and shared services operational support for HR. A unique opportunity exists within the team for a Manager to support the service delivery and administration of Prudential’s Wellness programs offered to our employees and plan participants. This includes management of our Annual Open Enrollment process. Based on our highly outsourced support model and large third-party vendor footprint, this role will work closely with Total Rewards plan design experts, third party administrative service providers, HR Operations, and various cross functional areas (e.g., Legal, Employee Relations, Integrations, etc.) to deliver end-to-end solutions that support plan requirements, follow regulations, and provide an excellent member experience. This role will also collaborate with employees and other partners at various levels of the organization. The current EWA for this position is Hybrid and requires your on-site presence a minimum of two days/week in our Newark, NJ location. What you can expect: Oversight of third-party Wellness programs vendor performance to ensure administration operates in a compliant manner with plan rules and regulatory requirements, are well controlled, and that participants receive an excellent customer experience. Management of end-to-end Annual Open Enrollment Drive resolution of cross vendor and process issues and concerns that arise. Relentlessly champion continuous process improvement and simplification; identify and implement opportunities that yield operational efficiencies and / or improve member experience. Lead the implementation of process and delivery changes (i.e., plan, program, regulatory or merger/acquisition/divesture driven). This includes clarifying scope, creating / confirming business requirements, ensuring partner engagement and readiness, providing (or performing) project management, and completing user acceptance testing when needed. Function as trusted advisor to the Total Rewards plan design team, advising on how plan rules or contemplated plan changes impact plan administration and the participant experience. Partner with the internal operations team that manages system integration files, providing business requirements and requisite subject matter expertise. Address / resolve participant issues and support the formal Claims and Appeals process. What you’ll need: Validated expertise in Benefits Delivery and Operations experience. Extensive knowledge and understanding of Health Insurance and Wellness Program offerings Experience with end-to-end Annual Open Enrollment planning Vendor management experience Critical and creative thinking, with the ability to think broadly and make connections across multiple programs and processes Demonstrated leadership and talent mindset skills Strong analytical skills and the demonstrated ability to use data insights to drive process improvements Relentless focus on operational excellence, process simplification and a positive member experience Positive relationship management mindset that demonstrates collaborative skills working with both internal and external partners Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively flex style and approach based on the audience (e.g., senior leadership, vendors, technology support, executives, participants).
