Job Purpose

The purpose of the Senior Benefits Manager role is to oversee and manage the company-wide benefits programs and systems. This includes leading the development and implementation of a comprehensive benefits package that meets the needs of both our associates and the company.  Being the subject matter expert in benefits, this role provides guidance in all areas of benefit administration and initiatives.  In addition, serve as the point person and designated administrator of the HRIS (Paycom) system to support all locations.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the efficient administration of all company benefit plans; Medical, Dental, Vision, COBRA, FSA, HSA, FMLA, 401k, Voluntary Benefits, etc.
• Serve as subject matter expert of all benefit plans while ensuring compliance with plan provisions and applicable regulatory requirements.
• Resolve associate’s concerns, related to benefit plans, and act as liaison between associates and providers.
• Manage the annual benefit renewal process for all locations.
• Ensure the HRIS system is updated timely and accurately.
• Manage and facilitate the Wellness Initiatives for all locations.
• Reconcile monthly benefit costs utilizing the HRIS system and vendor invoices.
• Develop reports in the HRIS system, review data analytics and metrics.
• Be the subject matter expert in regulatory matters regarding multi-state requirements and reporting.
• Develop and distribute materials to educate associates about their benefits.
• Work alongside payroll to ensure the HRIS system is up to date for a seamless payroll process making any benefit changes, access, policies reflect the employee handbooks.
• Serve as 401k administrator.
• Manage reporting requirements (5500’s, ACA, EEO-1, 1095’s, etc.).
• Support finance with annual auditing requirements.
• Provide information for the effective administration of the 401k loans, hardship withdrawals, and notices regarding any changes within the program.
• Serve as subject matter expert, systems administrator, in HRIS matters (paycom).
• Other responsibilities as assigned by the VP of Human Resources.

Qualifications

Qualifications and Experience

• Demonstrated success in managing the administration of company sponsored benefit plans, including self-funded plans.
• Bachelor’s Degree in HR, Finance, Business, Statistics, or related field or equivalent experience.
• Must be a self-starter and continuous learner.
• Deep knowledge of benefits administration and a practical understanding of regulatory compliance.
• Process, Systems, data driven.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Skilled in handling sensitive and confidential matters.
• Proven ability to think strategically while being detailed oriented.
• Strong skills with Microsoft Office products which include Work, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access.
• Experience with Paycom is desired.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
