Job description:
● 3 years of experience as a business systems analyst or similar role, with a focus on accounting or financial systems.
● Ability to diagnose, evaluate, and resolve system and process challenges related to accounting.
● Strong communication and collaboration skills to bridge the gap between IT and accounting teams.
● Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
● Understanding of accounting principles and practices including budgeting, account coding, accounts receivable/payable, purchasing, and vendor management.
● Experience with accounting and procurement web applications.
● Experience with online ticketing/problem tracking systems.
● U.S. Citizenship
Desired:
● Familiarity with ERP systems, particularly those with strong accounting modules.
● Experience with system upgrade or migration projects, especially related to accounting systems.
● Knowledge of CGI Advantage Financial application and Ivalua eProcurement system (a plus, not mandatory).
● ServiceNow application knowledge for logging and tracking issues.
● Basic understanding of web application code behavior (JAVA, HTML, XML).
● Ability to review server and system logs for troubleshooting.
● Knowledge of XML and interface file layout and content.
Technical Skills:
● SQL proficiency to analyze, manipulate, and generate reports from databases (preferably SQL Server).
Education:
● Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or a related field.
Additional Preferences:
