Position Summary: The Healthcare Data Analyst’s primary responsibility is collecting, managing, and
organizing data sets from multiple sources. The duties of the healthcare data analyst includes creating reports,
aggregating data, data analysis, organizing databases, and other like duties. Likewise, the Data Analyst may
assist staff with access to information or provide reports and data to physicians, staff members, or facility
administrators. The Data Analyst enables quality improvement throughout the organization by collaborating with
the healthcare team to present data that is both accurate and meaningful. Accountable to the Director of Quality,
Risk, and Compliance.
Job Requirements: A minimum of one year of experience in the healthcare system; Bachelor’s degree in
Data Analytics, Informatics, Computer Science, or Business Analytics; Experience in SQL, Excel, PowerPoint,
Report Building, and Electronic Medical Record use; Knowledge of healthcare operations, regulations, and
compliance requirements; Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; Deliver on monthly and quarterly
reports; Create summarized themes in the form of infographics, PowerPoints, Graphs, and Executive written
summaries; Ability to prioritize multiple projects and tasks within tight timelines; Strong project management
skills and the ability to manage multiple project simultaneously; Excellent communication skills and ability to
communicate complex data insights to stakeholders;
General Responsibilities Ability to work as a productive member of a team; Collaborate with cross-
functional teams to support project management and process improvement initiatives; Support the Quality
Department’s projects and improvement initiatives; Build reports and develop dashboards to communicate data
trends to internal organization leaders, board members, and stakeholders; Provide data analysis and reporting
support to various departments within the organization; Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies
related to healthcare data analysis; Must be able to problem solve and adjust priorities to meet deadlines and
requests.
