The Health System Specialist (HSS) provides comprehensive support and consultation to the Health Services Department of an FQHC clinic network. The HSS is responsible for administrative support, program development/implementation, technical assistance, and coordination of the Peach Tree Health Services care model. The HSS shares responsibility with the Chief Health Officer (CHO), Chief Medical Officer (CMO), and Medical Director (MD) to plan, develop, administrate, manage, operate, and evaluate a comprehensive Health Services program that provides innovative whole person care. The HSS will have a role in developing Health Services department policies and procedures and assisting with the development and implementation of Health Services and multi-departmental projects across the organization. Policies/project topics may include (but are not limited to) Clinical Quality Improvement, federal/state grant funded initiatives, and integrated clinical support workflows. Option for remote work depending on candidate.
Three (3) years of health care experience working to support administrative and programmatic functions of a busy clinical department of an outpatient clinic network or hospital.
A bachelor’s degree is generally required, however consideration will be given to candidates with applicable work experience. Work experience will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis in relation to educational requirements.
Occasionally may travel to other sites to attend meetings or trainings, occasionally overnight for trainings.
