  • JOB SUMMARY:

    Provides leadership and management responsibility for the planning, organizing, staffing, and direction of Information Technology, Information Security and Clinical Engineering (Biomedical) areas. Oversees and collaborates with the manager of Information Technology department. Provides input for planning and decisions related to information security, technology and health information technology. Completes Information Security and Cyber Security risk management and remediation through thorough investigations. Responsible for maintenance, monitoring, documentation, implementation and training for network infrastructure and security systems.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS, DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Ensures that Information Systems are monitored and maintained according to all applicable organization policies, federal and state regulations, as well as with organizational service standards.
    • Work with all business and clinical units throughout the organization to determine possible risks to any Information assets.
    • Planning, designing, implementing and maintaining wired and wireless network infrastructure.
    • Management of Information Security contracts
    • Management and development of policies and procedures for areas of responsibility
    • Monitors, investigates and recommends remediation for network and Information systems threats, both inside and external.
    • Leads Livingston HealthCare’s Project Management Office, and IT change management efforts.
    • Assists with the preparation of, and has overall responsibility for the budget process over areas of responsibility.
    • Responsible for all aspects of enterprise cybersecurity systems prevention and maintenance.
    • Provides regular updates and reports on Livingston HealthCare’s CyberSecurity threat landscape and risk posture to senior leadership and the Board of Directors.
    • Oversees the clinical engineering planned maintenance, repair, and management programs
    • Manages clinical department capital planning and acquisition efforts
    • Supports other duties as assigned

    ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Assists with the production of accurate and timely Information Security risk exposure reports.
    • Facilitates the preparation of the annual Security Risk Assessment.
    • Maintains professional and technical knowledge in field of expertise.
    • Ensures that newly proposed Information Technology complies with Information Security requirements

    QUALIFICATIONS (Required):

    • Seven years of previous experience with Healthcare Information Systems security
    • Previous management experience.
    • Ability to exercise a high degree of initiative, judgment, discretion, and decision-making skills to achieve organizational objectives.
    • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with immediate colleagues, medical staff, employees, and the general public.
    • Ability to maintain and promote confidentiality of patient and organizational proprietary information.
    • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
    • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and to remain customer focused.

    ADDITIONAL DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS:

    • A bachelor’s or master’s degree in Healthcare Management, IT Management or other related fields.
    • Certification in Information security or Information Technology
    • Certification or experience in Project Management and/or Change Management.
