Position: Enrollment Specialist
Shift: 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Position Summary
Job Requirements:
Education required: High school diploma or GED equivalent.
Education Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in a health or human service field.
Experience Preferred: A minimum of one year working in community health, senior health, marketing, or enrollment for a public health, social service organization, or health plan. One year of MediCal, Medicare, managed health care eligibility, or senior-related sales. Working with the frail or elderly population is a plus.
Certifications/Licenses: CA driver's license with appropriate automobile insurance is required. Must take and pass the State of California DHCS PACE and Medi-Cal Marketing Certification exam within 60 days of hire.
Verbal and Written Skills to Perform the Job: Must be able to communicate effectively and comfortably in public forums. Prepare concise and clear reports on marketing and outreach. Bilingual (English/Spanish) is preferred.
Technical Knowledge and Skills to Perform the Job: Good knowledge of Microsoft Word applications including Excel, Access, and PowerPoint. Computer data entry, analysis, and reporting experience are required. Knowledge of electronic health data systems including NextGen is preferred.
Competencies: Demonstrated ability to be culturally sensitive and respect diversity, work effectively with individuals of different cultures and socio-economic status; passion for service; self-starter and highly organized; ability to prioritize, and complete a large volume of work within strict time deadlines; provide prompt, efficient and responsive customer service.
Equipment Used: Computers, phones, personal vehicles, copy machines, fax machines, and other general office equipment.
Working Conditions and Physical Requirements: Busy Adult Day Health Center (ADHC) and clinic environment serving the frail elderly with medium to loud noise levels and controlled office temperatures. May be required to lift up to 30 lbs., stand and walk frequently indoors and outdoors; set up/take down outreach equipment. Will be required to travel to other sites or other locations within San Diego county. Will be required to work some evenings and/or weekends.
