    Job Description
    The purpose of this position is to manage activities involved with program and financial management and delivery of Ridgewater’s Long Term Care and other healthcare-related programs to ensure that Ridgewater College remains the regional leader in workforce training for these industries in the region. The incumbent will leverage the college’s investment in equipment, resources, and history for excellent training, in a manner that will advance the quality of care in the region through customized training solutions. Duties include, but are not limited to, developing relationships within industry; promotion and sales of programs/courses; management and coordination of training-related activities and equipment; involvement in the healthcare and education industries, and development and delivery of training programs. The applicant (the employee) should demonstrate a knowledge of and interest in diverse cultures and populations. Some travel is necessary (20%).
    • Establish relationships with industry executives and managers, and other MnSCU healthcare training professionals, to identify training needs and opportunities that can be addressed via contract or open-enrollment training utilizing Ridgewater equipment, curriculum and expertise.
    • Develop, deliver, and manage long-term care of other healthcare-related training programs and exams for industry in our region utilizing the latest in techniques, technology, and methodology. Continually evaluate training effectiveness, learning outcomes, exam pass rates and participant satisfaction and adjust curriculum and presentation methods so as to ensure Ridgewater’s standing as a first choice for training and education.
    • Operate, support, and maintain equipment and supplies used for the delivery of training programs to ensure security, functionality, and availability for all training exercises. This includes vehicles, technology, supplies and consumable items.
    • Promote and support the advancement of Ridgewater Customized Training and Continuing Education to achieve divisional goals and support the overall mission of Ridgewater Community and Technical College.



    Required Qualifications
    • Experience managing large, multi-faceted programs.
    • Demonstrated ability to solve complex problems involving multiple stakeholders.
    • Strong organizational skills.
    • Strong professional communication skills, both verbal and written.
    • Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
    • Valid driver’s license.
    • Travel is required, including some overnight and extended stays (20%).
    • Demonstrated knowledge of and share the college’s interest in diverse cultures and populations.


    Preferred Qualifications
    • Associates degree or Higher
    • Training and experience as an EMT or EMR
    • Experience in healthcare-related industry or field
    • Licensure as a RN with one or more year experience in long-term care
    • AHA BLS instructor certified.
    • PALS, PEARS, CALS, NRP, or ACLS Instructor Certified
    • Experience with healthcare simulation technology or methodology
    • Two years sales or business development experience
    • Experience with adult training and/or education
    • Strong mechanical background


    Other Requirements
    In accordance with the Minnesota State Colleges & Universities (MnSCU) Vehicle Fleet Safety Program, employees driving on college/university business who use a rental or state vehicle shall be required to conform to MnSCU’s vehicle use criteria and consent to a Motor Vehicle Records check.
