Bereavement Coordinator jobs in Boca Raton, FL
Bereavement Coordinator plans and provides bereavement counseling and support to survivors. Assesses individual needs and coordinates with multi-disciplinary teams to develop and deliver a holistic support plan. Being a Bereavement Coordinator guides survivors to appropriate bereavement resources. Facilitates grief support group sessions. Additionally, Bereavement Coordinator requires a bachelor's degree in social work. May require the applicable State License to Practice Clinical Social Work. Typically reports to a manager. The Bereavement Coordinator occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Gaining exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. HealthCare Support is actively seeking a Bereavement Counselor/Social Worker to fill an opening with a leading healthcare organization in Fort Lauderdale, FL.
Daily Responsibilities for Bereavement Counselor/Social Worker- Grief support services for clients
- Compassionate counselor
- Monday-Friday: 8:30am - 5pm, three days per week; and 11:30 - 8pm, two days per week (rotation)
Required Qualifications for Bereavement Counselor/Social Worker- 1 year experience or education in grief support and mental health
- Masters Degree in Social Work or related field
- Experience in action and behavior focused group facilitation, individual support, family systems, geriatrics, human development and behavior, facilitating adjustment to loss, catastrophic illness and suicide risk assessment, and child and adolescent development
- Great Phone and Computer Skills
Preferred Qualifications for Bereavement Counselor/Social Worker- School Setting experience
