Bereavement Coordinator plans and provides bereavement counseling and support to survivors. Assesses individual needs and coordinates with multi-disciplinary teams to develop and deliver a holistic support plan. Being a Bereavement Coordinator guides survivors to appropriate bereavement resources. Facilitates grief support group sessions. Additionally, Bereavement Coordinator requires a bachelor's degree in social work. May require the applicable State License to Practice Clinical Social Work. Typically reports to a manager. The Bereavement Coordinator occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Gaining exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. Colin’s Lodge is a recreation and enrichment organization for young adults with cognitive differences. Its facility, located outside Dayton in Sugarcreek Township, is a unique and safe environment for friends to meet and develop / reinforce life and social skills through a variety of activities.
The member engagement staff’s main function will be to facilitate programming and ensure that Colin’s Lodge’s policies and procedures are followed.
Staff members also will work in a small team to create, enhance and schedule future programming. Member engagement staff will supervise all member activities.
Certification on CPR, FA and AED are needed ( we can assist with training on certifications, as needed).
With an understanding of Colin’s Lodge member-centric philosophy, staff members must be able to display sound judgment, accountability and a positive attitude.
They must be able to work independently as well as with a team.
