Bereavement Coordinator plans and provides bereavement counseling and support to survivors. Assesses individual needs and coordinates with multi-disciplinary teams to develop and deliver a holistic support plan. Being a Bereavement Coordinator guides survivors to appropriate bereavement resources. Facilitates grief support group sessions. Additionally, Bereavement Coordinator requires a bachelor's degree in social work. May require the applicable State License to Practice Clinical Social Work. Typically reports to a manager. The Bereavement Coordinator occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Gaining exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function.     Qualifications:
    • Completion of state specific required training, completed in mandated time frame.
    • Current First Aid, CPR Certification, Food Handlers Certification upon hire or within the 1st 30 days of hire.
    • Must be able to think, act and intervene independently in both routine and emergency situations.  
    • Must be self-motivated and function independently.
    • Strong communication skills in writing and verbally.
    • Must be able to relate to residents and staff in a respectful and compassionate manner under all circumstances.
    • Willing to train. Medical & vision insurance, vacation and sick leave.
