Bereavement Coordinator plans and provides bereavement counseling and support to survivors. Assesses individual needs and coordinates with multi-disciplinary teams to develop and deliver a holistic support plan. Being a Bereavement Coordinator guides survivors to appropriate bereavement resources. Facilitates grief support group sessions. Additionally, Bereavement Coordinator requires a bachelor's degree in social work. May require the applicable State License to Practice Clinical Social Work. Typically reports to a manager. The Bereavement Coordinator occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Gaining exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. Ele's Place is seeking Adult Group Clinicians who will facilitate an Adult Peer Support Group at our evening Bereavement Program. An Adult Clinician at Ele’s Place is responsible for ensuring an emotionally and physically safe group environment which promotes trust and sharing among group participants. Group members are parents or guardians of children and/or teens attending our grief support group program.

Expectations: Completion of Ele’s Place Facilitator training is required. The typical Clinician workweek is 3.5 hours, one (1) evening every week with required attendance at briefing and debriefing meetings each night assigned. A Sub-Clinician may be called upon in the absence of a Clinician to fill in and support the respective night of program.
Education Requirements: A minimum of LLMSW or LLPC state licensure (or equivalent state licensure with a master’s degree in a mental health related field) required. Experience working with grief and loss strongly preferred.
