Bereavement Coordinator plans and provides bereavement counseling and support to survivors. Assesses individual needs and coordinates with multi-disciplinary teams to develop and deliver a holistic support plan. Being a Bereavement Coordinator guides survivors to appropriate bereavement resources. Facilitates grief support group sessions. Additionally, Bereavement Coordinator requires a bachelor's degree in social work. May require the applicable State License to Practice Clinical Social Work. Typically reports to a manager. The Bereavement Coordinator occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Gaining exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function.     • KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
      • Master Degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Counseling from an accredited graduate school, as well as advanced licensure with the state of Georgia, (LCSW, LMFT, or LPC).
      • Minimum of two years of experience in field of licensure.
      • Prefer experience in Hospice or Palliative Care
      • Must be able to relate and communicate with people of ranging age and social economic backgrounds including geriatric.
      • Must have GA drivers license
      • Interpersonal relationships include other employees, medical community, SGMC employees, volunteers, patients/families
      • Must have current CPR certification.
