Hospice Volunteers of Waterville Area (HVWA) is a volunteer-based, community supported hospice that provides non-medical support to individuals and their families at the end of life and throughout the grieving process. HVWA serves 27 towns in central Maine.
We are seeking a 32 hour/week Bereavement Services Coordinator. The Bereavement Services Coordinator (BSC) works closely with the Executive Director to plan and implement a diverse range of non-clinical grief support services for adults and children, including the program Hope’s Place for Grieving Children. The BSC is responsible for facilitating a welcoming and supportive process for individuals and families seeking grief support from the initial call to completion of services. The BSC is also responsible for recruiting, training, and supervising bereavement one-on-one volunteers and group facilitators. This position includes some education and outreach responsibilities.
