Summary
The Director of Professional Services is responsible to oversee the clinical aspects of the agency, to supervise all field staff, to assure compliance to all regulatory agencies and accreditation standards, and to manage the office in the absence of the Administrator.
May assist with new employee orientations and cover for Clinical Manager in their absence.
Responsibilities
Directs and coordinates all clinical services, and ensures full regulatory compliance
Directs all clinical services related to the interdisciplinary team and insures that interdisciplinary care is provided.
Assists with recruiting, employing, assigning, supervising, evaluating, and terminating clinical staff.
Directs staff in performance of their duties including admission, discharge, transfer, recertification and provision of services to patients.
Monitors operations for progress towards accomplishing operational/strategic plans.
Sets and promotes a climate conducive to opportunities for staff development, including: orientation, in-services, and continuing education with effective measures of competence and improvement.
Assists with the overall development and implementation of the PI Plan, which includes identification of goals and related client/patient outcomes. Also coordinates and participates in and reporting of activities and outcomes.
Participates in on-call coverage.
Manages expenditures and insures growth and profitability of Agency.
Resource to Billing Dept. to resolve inconsistencies, errors and/or compliance issues.
