    Job Summary:

    Actively involved, at the executive level, in the leadership of the organization. Organizes and administers areas of Resident Care Services to attain the facility's objectives established by the Governing Body. Manages nursing services on a 24-hour basis for a group of clinical services. Plans and supervises patient care, manages nursing and support personnel assuring that appropriate continuing education is maintained, and resolves emergency and problem situations. Responsibility typically includes developing or contributing to annual operating budget and monitoring expenses within prescribed parameters.

      • 24 bed Rural Community Hospital - Trauma Level IV
      • 15 providers Rural Health Clinic
      • 72 bed, high level care, Advanced Assisted Living Facility
      • 42 apartment; low-moderate care level Assisted Living Facility
      • Pharmacy/Retail Pharmacy

    Education Background and Experience

    Minimum Education:

     

    • A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in healthcare management or nursing.
    • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.

    Required Licensure / Certifications:

    Active WAState or Multi-state compact RN license with the authority to work in WAState

    Required Experience:

     

     

    • Minimum ten(10) years prior experience in resident care services.
    • Minimum five (5) years as a Manager or Director.

     

    Preferred Qualifications:

    Master's Degree

    • Maintain regulatory requirements.
    • Report to work on time and as scheduled; complete work within designated timelines.
    • Demonstrates the ability to adhere to the mission, ethics and goals of the District.
    • Demonstrates the ability to communicate with patients, guests and staff in a courteous, respectful and helpful manner.

    Essential Job Functions

    • Implements standards of nursing practice reviewing and revising as necessary to reflect changes in nursing practice and resident population.
    • Responsible for the provision of nursing services 24 hours a day, seven (7) days a week.
    • Addresses and supports cultural practices as long as such practices do not harm others or interfere with the planned course of medical therapy.
    • Ensures clear, concise and current written policies and procedures are available to assist the staff and minimize risk factors.
    • Recommends modifications, additions or deletions to nursing staffing plans to ensure reasonable hours and acceptable working conditions to provide optimal resident care coverage.
    • Initiates and participates in problem solving, policy forming conferences for resident care services. Maintains close coordination with all departments to insure continuity and collaboration of services.
    • Performs all aspects of resident care in an environment that optimizes resident safety and reduces the likelihood of medical/health care errors.
    • Participates with the Governing Body, Administrator, Medical Director and clinical leaders in the facility's decision-making process:
    • Plans and recommends to Administrator new facilities or equipment or modifications thereto needed to provide resident care.

     

    Successful candidates typically begin between the beginning and midpoint of the compensation range ($96,437.96 - $122,149.46/ annually) dependent on qualifications/experience and receive compensation increment increases annually.
