Position Summary:
Reporting to the Director of Maintenance & Engineering, the PM manager directs and coordinates activities of the Preventative Maintenance team and the stock room by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors. Manages and plans for maintenance policies, objectives, and initiative, and is responsible for ensuring all preventative maintenance for all facility and operational assets is completed. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Ensures that appropriate level of spare parts is maintained in stock by reviewing usage history and recommended spare parts lists along with stock room team. Works with all involved departments to manage site R&M budget.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Oversees finished and raw goods Inventory roles under Ingredient Control Department & Must be able to work a flexible schedule that may include night shift, overtime, and weekends to support a plant that manufactures 24/7
- Must be able to lead others in a team-based environment
- Must be computer literate (HMI Interface, HMI setup, email, data logging)
- Must be able to comply with food GMP standards
- Must have strong preventative mindset and drive to increase equipment uptime
- Must have experience using SAP or comparable purchasing system
- Must have experience managing and maximizing manufacturing level budgets
- Must have experience leading and managing projects of varying sizes and complexities
- Must be able to read, understand, and follow machine manuals, mechanical drawings, SOP’s, PID’s
- Must be detail oriented and able to comply with necessary documentation (work orders, parts inventory removal, etc.)
- Must have exceptional diagnosis and troubleshooting skills as required in a manufacturing plant
- Must maintain a personal inventory of tools necessary to perform the requirements of the position
- Must have a high sense of drive, initiative, sense of urgency, and pride to support a high-volume, high-speed manufacturing plant
- Must have basic mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills (motor, gearbox, pneumatics, hydraulics, etc.)
- Must have basic electrical skills (motor replacement, sensor replacement, fuse replacement, understanding of PLC’s, understanding of sensor functions)
- Must understand machinery timing (stroke, timing, position, dwell, cams)
- Other duties may be assigned
Position Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree; or five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds
