Are you looking for a job that involves working hard, playing hard, and riding hard with a growing bike team? Your Boat Club is hiring full-time bike techs for our Minocqua location at BJ's Sports Shop. Your Boat Club owns BJ's Bike Shop and, as a TREK, YETI, and WYATT dealer, we need individuals who can provide regular maintenance, install new parts, and repair damaged bikes for our customers. The ideal candidate must have an eye for detail, be able to work independently and as part of a team, and possess excellent customer service skills. They must also be physically fit to maneuver and lift bicycles. We expect the successful candidate to keep up to date with new developments in the industry.
We have multiple part-time and full-time vacancies available, but please note that these positions are seasonal.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Inspect and diagnose bike issues
Repair and maintain bikes and components
Advise customers on bike maintenance
Carry out routine checks
Order and maintain stock levels
Carry out maintenance and servicing of bicycles
Required Skills and Abilities:
2 – 3 years of experience.
UBI, BBI, or PBMA Mechanic Certification preferred, but willing to train the ideal candidate!
Aptitude for mechanical work
Good communication skills
Able to work independently
Physical strength and dexterity
Problem-solving ability
Working Conditions:
Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times
Must be able to work with steady hands and have visual acuity to identify issues and make proper alignments
Manual and finger dexterity are needed to perform repairs and adjustments

Compensation:
