Billing Specialist jobs in Albuquerque, NM

Come join this small up and coming Billing company! We are currently looking for a self-motivated go-getter to do Billing, payment posting and light administrative work. All applicants must:

· Have minimum 1 year of experience doing medical or behavioral health Billing

· Have reliable home internet connection

· Exhibit attention to detail

· Be self-motivated – the work is almost entirely done remotely

· Able to maintain a professional manner with clients and patients

· Highly organized

· Highly motivated by achieving results in a fast-paced environment

· Credentialing experience a plus

· Be comfortable making phone calls

· Must be familiar with at least one clearinghouse

· Proficient with Microsoft word and excel

· Must reside in Albuquerque or surrounding area

· 40 hours per week

Duties and Responsibilities

· Respond to client emails as needed

· Create and submit claims to appropriate payers

· Review and check claims processing for accuracy

· Work rejections and denials of claims

· Check eligibility and benefits for new patients

· Post payments to clearinghouses and spreadsheets

· Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA and other regulations

· Be able to complete credentialing applications (preferred)

· Contact clients and patients as necessary

· Other duties as assigned'

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
