Billing Specialist jobs in Daytona Beach, FL

We are looking for an orthopedic medical billing specialist who has the skill set to work outstanding insurance balances and patient balances.

FUNCTIONS TO INCLUDE, but not limited to:

• · Collecting and posting outstanding balances
• · Insurance payments
• · Misc Doctor services fee (conferences, depos, disability paperwork, etc)
• · Insurance Companies
• · Insurance verification
• · Understanding of contracted and non-contracted insurances and what we accept
• · Thorough knowledge of Athena
• · Scanning
• · Work rejections and clean up patient accounts
• · Run and work aging reports
• · Friendly and professional demeanor.
• · Ability to work collaboratively with others, and to train/re-train staff in office procedures as they relate to the AR department.
• · Assist in the office in other ways, as needed or necessary

Skills: Medical office experience, Good communication, Basic computer knowledge: keyboarding skills; Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, Knowledge of insurance payers, Excellent time management skills, Extensive knowledge of Account Receivables, Understand EOBs, Answer phone for issues regarding billing, Efficient follow up of billing issues, Ability to recognize account problems, individual and system problems and communicate such information to supervisor, Outstanding attention to detail, Operate software system for billing, posting and claims research, Maintain detailed records as required, Work aging reports, Verify accuracy of billing data and revise errors.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
